Aurasma app. Augmentative reality

Hello!
This mission consists of creating a collaborative slideshow about how to use the Aurasma app through a tutorial.
This tutorial supports the students to learn about an ICT tool that it is called Aurasma. We have decided to do a tutorial about Aurasma due to the fact that students have worked previously this app with the task of the info graphic.
In our team, we have divided the tasks, two of them wrote it down the dialog that we are going to record it in the tutorial, the rest of the team searched about how to use the tutorial called Screencast-o-matic.

About Screencast-o-matic, it is a online tool, you have to download an application, once you have downloaded the application, you can start working on it. It is a very intuitive and easy tool.
We had to record twice the tutorial because in the first time the phrases were not well-coordinated with the actions of the computer mouse.
You can see our final result here:

As teachers, it is important to know how to create tutorials in order to teach our students the steps that they have to follow in order to achieve a goal.
We have participated in a collaborative project that it is called Apor TICs. It consist on creating tutorials from different students about different topics. So it is a very useful tool in order to learn the ICT world and facilitate the learning of our students.
We have already sent  our task, and we are looking forward to receive an answer!

Video Challenge

Hello!
We are the group composed by: Alvaro Gómez, Mara Dominguez, Paula Lamas, Marta Gayarre and Neus Fiol.
For this mission, we have created a draft that explains what is the video about, we decided to use the simple tool as you already know that it is the Google Docs through a temple has been adapted from  ShellyTerrell.com, Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0., who originally had adapted ir from  Lukas Henne’s template. Here it is the sharing:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VoRkQIuhoIPAQ9_DzBqCOQE5mEaDoivht3JtmVciN3U/edit?usp=sharing

When we were planning our video we though in which was our goal, after this decision when one idea comes across our mind we wrote in down, finally we had written all the scenes of the video.

Once we created our Storyboard, we started working on our video. We went to Moncloa neighborhood in order to record it. Unfortunately, we had to record the video twice because the first time the video was not well-recorded. When we edit the video with the faboulus tool called  IMovie, we noticed that the scenes were well recorded, however the sound of the sorroundings obstruct the audio of the characters.
Enjoy the video!

Regarding the IMovie tool, the Apple's brand provide you in the laptops and tablets. It is a tool that I used previously due to their efficacy. However, each time that I use it I learn new tools to edit the video.

This project are going to be part of the collaborative project called The ESL Times. It is a great project where students share their knowledges through different types of activities in English.
So as a teacher we have to take advantages of all these projects that are in the net.
We have done the same as the infoedugraphic project, we send our storyboard and video to their email, and they are going to give us another award as this:

A live CLIL chocotalk

Hello everybody!

This task was so special, it was carried out on the 7th of April at 19:00 Spanish time and it consisted on doing a live chocotalk about CLIL.

One component of each group was the speaker, the others were content curators and disseminate the information.
The roles in my group were the followings:
Disseminate the information: @marta_Gayarre
Content curator: @22paau @maradominguezgo
Speaker: Alvaro_Gope @nepeuspu

The speakers, during the chocotalk, we spoke about different topic that are related to CLIL. The first one is the advantages and disadvantages of  CLIL, the second one was social and emotional benefits of CLIL, the third one was the role of the ICT in the classroom and lastly, it was related with develop our CLIL E-projects. I think, the last part of our chocotalk was the most interesting part, the names of our different projects were:
- Our body
- Traveling and Europe
- History
- Animals
- Neighbourhood
- Space

Here you can see the amazing chocotalk that it is published in YouTube.

At the same time, @marta_Gayarre was disseminating the information using her own Twitter and the Twitter of our CLIL e-project. Here you can see a label that announce the event.

After that, the content curators that were @22paau and @maradominguezgo, they created a Genially that collects all the information (Tweets, summaries and topics)
Here is the public link:

To sum up, as teachers we have to bear in mind that students can participate in this collaborative project, because the experience is very gratifying.Besides, the project give us an award as you can see on my right part of my blog.

We would like to thank to the Chococharlas team for giving us the opportunity to participate in his collaborative project.

Do you know your neighborhood? InfoGraphic

Hello!
From now on, all posts are going to be in group work. The group is called: "Do you know your neighborhood?. The members of my group are: @Alvaro_Gope @marta_Gayarre @22paau @maradomingezgo
Our mission was to create an info graphic with a determinated goal for our CLIL E- project that it is called Do you know your neighborhood? as I said before. Our objective with this project is that students know better their surroundings through different online and life activities. The roles that has been assigned to create it are:
  • Coordinator: @Alvaro_Gope
  • Supervisor:@marta_Gayarre
  • Secretaries: @22paau @maradominguezgo
  • Speaker: @nepeuspu
After trying different tools like, Genial.ly, Piktochart.com, infogr.am, we have decided to use Canva.com because it has more resources to create an infographic. The disadvantage of this tool is that only few things are free, but with imagination, you can create your own template.
Our goal to design the infographic was to give a clue about the topic but you need to use the app of Aurasma in order to discover more about how it works. That is why, we created a video to explain briefly the contents that children are going to work on.
Here is our info graphic that it is connect with Aurasma if you click in the QR code.

Here is the Twitter link:

It is important to highlight that trough doing this info graphic, we had the pleasure to participate in a national project, we sent our info graphics to their blog that it is called Proyecto InfoEdugrafías, and they replied us that they are going to publish our info graphic in his blog.
Here it is the award that they give us

Educating neigborhood! Prototype CLIL e-project.

After evaluating a project, I have decided to create a topic in which the student would be the active learner in their learning process.
This e-project tries to go outside the school because as teachers we have to consider that students learn from different environments, so taking this into account, the neighborhood will become an learning space. Hence, they are going to find out those things that they like about their place, others things that need improvement and others that they don't like.
The different activities that I have designed  have the purpose of this e-project  can be expanded and succeed .
Here you can see my video clip that I have done with IMovie: https://youtu.be/Jcq89Pg6ZRM
IMovie is a tool that i have used previously. However, each time that I create a video I learn something new, thanks to this video I have learn how to convert an video into a static picture. Besides, I have to say that it is not suitable to write text the pictures that is why, I have had to use different programs such as Genially and Prezzi.
If you don't understand any point, do no hesitate on telling me!
Hope you like it!

Evaluating CLIL e-projects

Hello!
This task consists on evaluating a CLIL e-project, after checking some of them. Finally, I decided to choose this one: http://alvarorosado22.weebly.com/
This CLIL e-project is about animals and it is intended for second graders. That's why, this project has easy, simple and coherent content. Moreover, it is well-explained and well-structured. Regarding multimedia is plenty of tools that appeal to children. Wit regards to accessibility, I have to say that it is not well-adapted for people with special needs and it has a lack of creativity.
Genially has been the tool that I have choosen to create my evaluation. It is the first time that I use Genially.
In general,  I have to say that I am really impressed of how it works. The functions are very intuitive and easy to follow the steps. However, I had troubles with the type of the letter and the resources.
I would like to say that making this evaluation makes me realize how a e-project should be done. So, now I am thinking which will be my learning outcome and how I can develop it.
Check my evaluation and do not hesitate on commenting me!

WEBMIX. CLIL RESOURCES.

It is fundamental as teachers to be a good curator of contents. It allows you to classify the information for different purposes or topics.

Therefore, the task consists on having a tool in order to classify properly. The first though that comes to mind was Symbaloo tool, because I consider that it is a fabulous tool in order to synthesize the information. Here it is the link:
https://www.symbaloo.com/home/mix/13eOcLjTaQ

However, after thinking and checking, I took the decision to create a new board on Pinterest and I added a meaningful tittle called CLIL Methodology (as you can see on the left side). So, I posted there my contents of CLIL. It is a board that is not static because it will be in constant motion.
My reason to choose this tool and not the other one is that I want to spread my resources on Pinterest.

Finally, I would like to encourage all of you to decide with tool you want to use in order to curate the educational content.

BANK OF COMMON LANGUAGE. OPEN CLIL

Pinterest is a great tool that I discovered 4 years ago, since then I have used a lot. It is a platform where you can pint those pictures  you find that are interesting for you. It could be of any topic: motos, painters, decoration, landscapes, education. In my case, I only use this tool to group materials related with education. What is more, the vast majority of the materials are really creative and very visual. Besides, it allows you can upload your materials.

Particularly, this task consists on grouping different CLIL resources in a Pinterest Board called Open CLIL.
The point is that all the resources must be Creative Commons Open Educational Resources (OERs). It means that resources have to incorpore a license. Each one in the classroom has to add six of them that these have to be free and without copyright.

These are the 6 post that I have uploaded to the board called:Open CLIL.
I would like to say that some of the pins for this work are made by myself because I have uploaded in order to expand educational ideas.
  • The first one, pupils should model the pyramid of aliments using modelling clay. Here is the link
  • The second one is about decoration. It is fundamental that our schools are well decorated. There are two decorations, one is from the classroom door, and the other is a autumn decoration where students could deliver their letters saying what they want to decorate and how they want. Here it is the first link. Here it is the second link.
  • Thirdly, digestive system model made of cardboard and modelling clay. Here it is the link.
  • Fourthly, radiographies made of black cardboard and cotton swabs that represent the articulations. Here it is the link.
  • Firstly, the model of water cycle. Here it is the link.
  • Sixth, a video from Youtube that explains the process of water cycle. Here it is the link.
  • Finally, scaffolding infographic. Here it is the link.

LICENCE

Here it is the license that I have chosen:
It contains my license at the bottom of this blog:

What does your license allow others to do with your CLIL e-materials?
The license that I have decided to use is called Creative Commons, which is free and cultural. There, you can choose if the adaptations of your work can be shared or not, and if they can commercialize with your information or not.
Since I understand network as a free space for sharing resources, I have decided to choose that my subject content of my blog can be redistribute the material in any medium or format and share. Moreover, posting this kind of license it allows to remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
So, these symbols appear on the bottom of my blog:
What are good ways to motivate our students to use Creative Commons material and attribute properly?
As a teacher, I would like to transmit the importance to cite the real source through different activities depending on the age. Some activities could be that each student writes their own story. Then, classmate should read the story aloud citing the name of the student who wrote it. Other activity would be to attach different information from the net and cite the author.
After doing different kinds of activities I will show different license and explain the importance to have one making a relationship between real and virtual life.

Take a look at this license and decide if you also want to contribute to have a license. Here it is the link.

LEARNING BY TWITTERING

Despite creating my Twitter account in 2012, I haven’t been using it with a high frequency. My beginnings in Twitter consisted on reading and ret twittering post from friends. After a time, I started to follow some educational authors such as: Santiago Moll, César Bona and Victoria Marín. Since that moment, I realized the importance of having a wide contacts

in Twitter with the main purpose of expanding ideas of the educational world and learn from those.
Besides, I am starting to get involve to the Twitter movement with a hash tag called #ictclil_urjc from my University. There all the classmates comment about the CLIL methodology. Apart from that, we have to be update all the educational speeches and conferences that we can participate by the network.
So, this is my tweet about CLIL:
Saying that what I mean is that in CLIL methodology can be used in any subject and through this subject the student will learn the target language of that content.
Also, I have ret twitted from my classmates tweets about CLIL methodology are:
This tweet is from Celia that says that CLIL is a different and innovative learning experience. In other words, CLIL is an eclectic methodology because it has catch the benefits from others educational methodologies.
Other tweet is from Teresa that claims the importance to have a corner for fast finishers students where these can go there and pick some activities in order to wait for the rest of the classroom.
Finally, I hope to be update and little by little to expand and catch educational ideas from around the world.
PLE/PLN FOR CLIL
The first time I have heard about CLIL methodology was in the Bilingual Master from the University of Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. There, some teachers have been taught me the concepts of how CLIL should be worked in the schools. However, schools are not teaching using this methodology. So it is fundamental that as bilingual teacher we train in order to know about this methodology. That’s why,  I am studying to pass the TKT exam provided by Cambridge. This exam consists on knowing all the features of this methodology.
Some years ago I realised the importance of taking knowledge from different sources different from books. So for that time it is when my PLE started.
After that, I have tried to be update of different educational content by doing these kinds of things: follow in twitter relevant educational authors (César Bona, Santiago Moll, Victoria Marín…), create an educational account on Pinterest, and watch educational Ted videos. So, I consider that these actions are part of my PLN.
However, I really believe that all my online interventions have to increase in order to have a wide PLN where I can learn from it and expand my ideas.
Therefore, here is my popplet that contains my mapping  e-projects:

3, 2, 1 INTRODUCTION. WHO AM I?
I get amazed, when I discover that there are a lot of programs in order to make videos that are free on the website.
So, I checked some of them as for example “Powtoon” and his tutorial. It seemed very interesting and easy to use according to the tutorial I saw.
However, after checking some of them I decided that I could improve my skills in a program that Mac includes that it is called IMovie. Surely, most of you have heard about this program It is not in the website for free, but I took the chance that my computer has it.
Previously to this video I have created another videos. However, there are some tools that I didn’t know how to incorporate.
IMovie is plenty of components that facilitate the creation of a video. You can change: colour, white balance, tone of the skin. Besides, it includes some models have already prepared for you such as: transitions, tittles, maps and sounds. Another aspect that I would like to remark is that the connections with your other Mac application work pretty well.
Doing this video I had the opportunity to keep improving my skills using this tool. I downloaded a clock intro in Youtube and I could incorporate in my video. Moreover, I created my own voice-over in order to say the main title of the video.
Here is the  Youtube link:
I hope that you enjoy my video!
